We now live a way from family, so I am going to try this blog thing. I might take me awhile to get it all up and running and a whole lot is happening and has happened. I will try to stay with the times. First of all Craig and I moved our family to Pocatello. It has been quite a change for us and especially for Degan living away from all of his Grandparents. Between him asking where Terry is he will ask for Grandma or Grandpa and then say lets go see them. I then have to remind him that they live a long ways away. We are getting settled in and moving along with our lives. We just took some family pictures, as soon as I get them I will post them! But these are the most important things in our lives!

And I am definitely out of my mind. It's been a long but and a lot has gone on. First Degan is growing up. He is a little man with a big attitude. He loves Mom, Dad and both Grandma's and thats it. He tolerates some others but not well. Craig is still working hard. And I keep him busy as can be when he comes home. Our yard finally looks like a yard could go there. Maybe next year we will plant some grass and get my awesome fire pit. Craig did put some rocks in a circle so I could have s'mores.

Summer has been crazy. First Miss Gem County was a success. Congrats to Sarah Downs and Bailey Butcher. We were able to crown two girls this year and they will be competing for Miss Idaho next June. We have a facebook, check it out! Also we are starting the program Miss Gem County Outstanding Teen Pageant. Girls 14 to 16 if interested let me know and I can get you some info.

Our garden looks great! We are getting about a hand full of raspberries every other day. Degan loves them. All the other plants look great just no harvest yet! It is early!

Last weekend we had a yard sale with some of my cousins. Too much work and not fun. I don't think that I will ever do one of those again. And it was hot and I didn't make a dang thing.

My sister has a pool, so Degan and I go swimming every once in a while. Its really nice to cool off and let Degan play. There back yard is way better than ours. And he gets to play with his cousins. Craig and I have also got up to the dam a couple of times. It seems like every time I wake board something else hurts. Thanks to our friends with pools and boats. It is going to keep us cool this summer.

Craig has been playing on a softball league. They only ask me to play if they don't have enough girls. I am not the star of the team, but I usually have something funny to say! We played Church softball and it was fun only when we played Jeri's team!

Thats our summer so far! Maybe I will keep up!

What adrenaline?

So I finished my first 1/2 Marathon. And my thoughts right now is that I am not going to ever do a full marathon. There is a line between I can do this an enjoy it and that would suck. I think that doing a full Marathon fits under the that sucks category. I ran 13.1 miles in 3 hours and 1 minute. I wanted to finish under 3 hours and I didn't which I am a little sad about that one minute. I could have done it. My sisters rock! Anna made it in 2 hours and 34 minutes and Darcia made it in 2 hours and 44 minutes. I met a new friend that kept me company for a couple miles, Ashley. Her husband and kids were there, and he was hilarious. He was yelling things like, "I am holding a baby and my wife is running." As for Becky Green. She totally kicks butt. She made it in 1 hour and 51 minutes. As for the adrenaline. It never kicked in for me. Lots of people told me that the last three miles was just adrenaline. Well not for me. I died at mile 10, where I usually did in training. And the guy at the last aid station that said that I only had a mile left, he needs to be kicked in the face. If I wasn't so sore I might hunt him down and do it my self. He lied. I had 2 miles left. That is a big difference. JERK!

The food at the end was great but I just ran my butt off and couldn't eat any of it. Everything that I did get Anna and Darcia ate and then Darcia threw it up. That was nasty. On the cement in front of Forever 21. The Creamy's that Becky said were so good. They were. I did eat one of those. I would recommend them after running 13 miles any time. Or should I say 13.1 miles. Awesome!

Kudos to me for finding a great location for our hotel room. When it was all over we walked up over the over pass and there was our hotel. Great spot!

I had a great time with my sisters. We didn't spend lots of time together with Anna, but she called us and texts us frequently. Just a FYI for any one driving in Utah any time soon. Don't do it. They are crazy man and the police are ridiculous. I got pulled over because the tent of my windows was too dark. Not kidding. He pulled out some thing and told me to roll up my windows half way so he could check them. And it is true they were too dark for the state of Utah. He also lied about me speeding. If Darcia tells you I am a bad driver she is lying too. I am a good driver, I just get spooked easily.

As for doing it again, hopefully sometime this week I can remember to run again. And I am going to start training for the Emmett triathlon. I am just running it. Maybe next year I can do the whole thing, swim, bike and run. My training days are not over. And Jeri and Alisa yours have just started! But I am not sure about another marathon. We will see!

I am not dying yet!

So I thought maybe that I would have six months to live. But it is not true. I have my whole life!!! The wonderful doctor that upset Milly, I mean Millie (sorry Jeri) told me today that she would go away just as soon as I stopped running. Okay thats not the truth either. She is just there to make me pay lots of money to find out that she is infected and will go away with time. Even though Dr. Mumford wants to take her out for fun. Fun, what kind of fun is that. Some people's fun. Sounds like Kara, from what I learned at lunch yesterday. People would maybe stop thinking that it is a hickey on my neck. I had major trauma and they thought it was a hickey. It's sad but true, Millie will leave us. Hopefully sooner than later. That would also mean that I would have to pick up my prescription. Oops, I forgot.

So, the big race is in one day. I am getting a little nervous. I am still not sure what to wear. I did find good underwear though. That is a major thing. I will let you know how it goes.

Degan had his one year check up today and is doing great!! He is a thriving boy, he said that after Degan had the whole room torn apart. Megan Walker then came over and took some pictures of him. It was such a nice day. Degan really didn't work it very well, but I think she got some good ones. I will post them as soon and I get them. Degan gets to spend the night at Grandma's tomorrow night. I hope all goes well with that.

We had Degan's 1st Birthday party yesterday. It was lots of fun and messy!! I can't believe it; I have a one year old. And he isn't my baby anymore.

It all started like a month and a half ago, I was sitting at my mothers house and we were just talking. I then felt her for the first time... Milly. I said, there is a big bump on my neck. And no one said anything or even cared that I could be dying. So then like two weeks later at church I was talking to Ericka and I can't remeber if I said something or she noticed it, but in the end she had me worried. I do blame most of this on Ericka. So I caught Dr. Mumford in the hallway at church and he said that I have to have the bump ultrasounded. Who knew that ultrasounds were used for all different reasons! So we got Milly ultrasounded and didn't get the answers we or Doc. (that is what Bransen calls him)wanted. So yesterday I took Milly (she is attached) over to St Lukes to get a Biopsy. I was thinking no big deal... they will numb me and get what they need and I will be home. First of all when I step in to a hospital I start to get queasy and emotional. After check in, I went to imaging and learned first hand what a biopsy is. He took a needle, I don't know how big because I didn't look, and numbed me, kinda. Then he took another needle and put more numbing stuff in there. I am pretty sure that he punctured my throat and we would have to have emergency surgery on it. But apparently he didn't. Then one at a time though the same hole he put 5 yes, FIVE different needles and shook up and down to get cells onto the needles. OOOOWWWW! It hurt and I cried. The nurse asked me if I was worried about the results. I wasn't but maybe I should be now. No I told her, I just cry in hospitals. My neck and Milly still hurt!

As for the name, Jeri called me and said that the large thing on my neck needs a name. I wanted something nice and she said Mildred or Bertha. So we compromised with Milly the mass. And Milly just wanted to be left alone and Doc wouldn't let it me and now she is mad and taking it out on me. That is my Milly story!

Wow have we been busy. I had a very tough week for school last week and I wasn't sure that I was going to make it through, but I did, barely. This week is finals week and I think that I am going to pass. Craig has been working alot, and trying to build a shed and working on plans to add on. He is busy too. Degan is growing like a weed. Oh man. I just walk behind him and pick up everything that goes in the cubboards. I constantly clean and it never looks like it. He is walking and loving every minute. He loves to go outside, but hates to put shoes on. I need fast slip on shoes for him. I am still training for the 1/2 marathon in April. It is rough work, but exciting. It's really on a me thing to do. Last Saturday, Darcia and I ran up Old Freeze out hill. It wasn't bad until I was done. Then the numbness wore off and I hurt! Life is not slowing down.

That is what I feel some days. This semester has been a crazy one. On top of the classes I am taking I have volunteer 66 hours at the high school. I get up and go to the school, come home do some homework and housework and then go to class. This is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I can't wait for Thursday to get done. By that time I am waisted.

About four weeks ago Darcia (my sister) called my up and asked if I would like to run the Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon. Oh and the training starts today. I of course said yes. I would like everyone to know that I am right on track with the training and on April 17th 2009 I am going to run the marathon with three of my sisters and some friends. I have one sister that wont be able to make it. Only because she is having a baby in March. It is going to be fun. The training is very hard but I am progressing. Yesterday out of the 4 miles I ran 3 of them. Rock on DIAN. When this started I could barely run a 1/4 of a mile straight. And yesterday I ran a mile and 1/2 straight. I feel personal acheivements!

Degan is growing up so fast. What happened to my baby. He has been standing by himself for sometime now. About a month ago he started to try and walk. Today he is walking all around my house. He is so cute too. He is so proud of himself and falls sometimes because he gets so excited. It is so funny. When he falls he claps his hands.

Craig is working hard for are family. We only wish that he could be in town more often. Degan loves his daddy. Degan and I took a couple of trips to Twin Falls to see him. Degan doesn't travel well. But we made it there and back twice. On our trips we got to catch up on some friends of mine from college. Matt, Jessica and Halle. And oh my, Halle is so cute. Jeremy and Alisa, we miss you, especially Degan. He loves his Godparents. Someday we will all have to meet at our house.

I will blog more on my training. Six miles tomorrow!

Can anyone believe it.... 2009 is over.

My 2009 highlights are:
Degan was born April 6, 2009.
His cousin was born Feb 7, 2009; Elizabeth Buhrig.
Craig got a steady job in March.
We bought a house in August.
Terry came home from is mission in September.
I quit my job in September to be home with Degan. (AWESOME)
I also started school again. (I am not sure that is a highlight but it happened.)
And we had another great year in McCall with the family.

2009 was a great year. So much happened. Thanks to family and friends that loved and supported us in all that we did. To Linda and Steve helping us move 3 times in a short amount of time. Oh and I was eight months prego. Thanks to my parents that helped us find the perfect house for our cute little family. To Jeri and Scott-Maybe this year we can find more friends to party with! And to the girls that watch our husbands play basketball, here's to another season! Hopefully 2010 will bring as much joy as 2009!

Bronco GAME DAY!

Tomorrow it has been one month that I have been home with Degan. Wow, how did I get anything done when I went to work everyday. Life is great. I am busy as ever and get to see Degan grow up. The past month, we have moved into our house. It is wonderful. We have put a lot of work into it (and money) but I love it. The inside is mostly done. I just have to put things away and pictures up on the wall. Outside is another story. We had Steve (Craig’s dad) cut 2 very big trees down and one of the stumps is up. It is huge. I am not really sure what we are supposed to do with it. No grass yet, but hopefully this weekend we will plant some parts of the yard. Craig has been working out of town the past couple weeks. He is home now and working hard!

Degan is growing like crazy. It is so fun to be home with him. I can clean my house everyday and no one would notice because of him. I up his toys away while he is sleeping and put them right back on the ground where I found them when he wakes up. He doesn’t sleep through the night yet so we aren’t as productive as we could be. The last night was a good night! He is trying to crawl. He gets up on all fours and rocks and then lunges forward on his chest. Some how he can be from one side of the house to the other in seconds flat. I try to feed him baby food at least once a day. He is gaining weight so his cousins better watch out!

Terry is HOME and looks great! He got in Wednesday September 23 at 10:18. Well his plane was early and was waiting for us when we got there. Sorry. My dad has had him busy!

I started school at TVCC last week and man, I don’t remember it being this hard. I have already dropped a class. It was just too much for me to handle. I am taking English, Art and Education classes. Hopefully in two years I will have my teaching certificate. Hopefully!

Degan had a Dr. Appointment on August 6. The doc said he was perfect! He weights 15 lb 11 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. He has strong muscles and is holding up his head really well. He has been rolling over for a couple weeks now. Linda said that when she picked him up from his nap yesterday, he had rolled on his back. I will get some new pictures of him. He is getting so big and cuter if that is possible. Three weeks and he is all mine!

Degan is now giggling on a regular basis. It is cute. He first giggled about a month ago for my dad. NOT FAIR! I was talking a whole lot yesterday, so ran down stairs to grab my video camera and he hardly talked again. Cute, Stinken kid! He is so much fun. I can't wait until September 1st!!!!!

When teaching 5 year olds you expect them to tell them secrets about there parents. Like that their moms are pregnant and their dads being naked. Now we teach 9 and 10 year olds and it tattle tale on parents hour. I know a lot of parents bad habits. Lesson to all new parents, if you do something bad your kids some how find out and tell their teachers. I have also found out through Darcia's kids, that even if you are joking, they tell like it is gospel truth. Levi is bad and goes swimming on Sunday. Hey that is what Chase told Grandma! So you know it has got to me true!

Wow, time flies! I helped my sister with Miss Gem County. Which if you ask me was a huge success! It was lots of fun. The girls were great! I put the program together and it turned out awesome. Thanks to Idaho Web Printers. We have organized it so next years program will be a piece of cake to put together. Hopefully! On Saturday Darcia and I went to Miss Idaho. Kodos to Sarah! We totally got detoured all over Boise, but still made it. We always have a great time together! Congrats to Kara Jackson, Miss Idaho. I really don't know who she is, but she won. Miss Gem County was Monday and Congrats to Keili!! You did a great job. Good luck in the coming year! Thanks to all that helped. To Jeri, thanks for the help on the computer. One of these days we will hang out again. I am not sure what happened! I can't wait for Fair FOOD! Last year there was a grease ball in my stomach for a week. I can't imagine this year being any different!

The hardest thing I have ever done was leaving Degan at the hospital after I got released. The next thing is leaving him so I could go back to work. I started work on Tuesday ;(. Its been really hard to leave him everyday. I have some friends watching him. I am trying to work out a schedule so I only have to work 3 days a week. They will be long hours, but it will be worth it!

I know that it has a couple days... but Degan Montgomery Savage is here. April 6th 2009 at 7:49 am. There were some minor complications, but everyone is home and healthy. I woke up at 4:30, we left for the hospital at 5:30, checked in at 6:15, went though a bunch of questions. She checked me for the first time and I was dilated to a 7. We went straight to the delivery room. It was 7:00. Not long in there I asked for an epidural. She check me again and I was a 10 and I couldn't get one. The rest is a little blurry. He was here at 7:49. The complications were, I am GBS positive. It is a bacteria that grows on 1/3 of all women. It doesn't do anything to me and is no problem except when you are having a baby. During labor you get should get two rounds antibiotics. Since labor was so fast, I only got a half dose. Degan was in the NICU for 4 days. 3 of the 4 he was on antibiotics, for the possibility that he got the bacteria. He never did get it. They kept him one extra day with out any antibiotics to make sure and the he was able to come home!!! We were very excited about. He weighed 8lb 3oz, and was 21 1/2 inches long. Everything is wonderful.

Well in the past few weeks I have moved to a trailer in Emmett. Craig was feeding cows for the Emmett Livestock auction. Then he got a "real" job with JT Construction. He has worked for them before. We want to buy a house, but the process is taking forever!!! So now we are moving in with my parents until we find a house and close on it. We went house searching and found a couple that I really like. 2 of them sold the day before. Bummer :( Craig's first day on the job he had to go out of town for the whole week. So I have been stuck with calling a real estate agent, lending company and getting pre-approved and finding a house. I might go crazy!

I went to the Dr. on Tuesday. I am dilated to a 3. The baby can't come this week, but we are counting on next week. Just fyi, Brynn said that I could go first and rumor has it she is having a baby. She lied!

Thanks to my parents and Craig's parents. They have done so much for us. We are truley gratefull. I am not sure what I would do with out them. Also thanks to Alisa. She saved me by chocolate!! and candy. I should be set until she comes again. Thanks to Jeri and Scott. They are great friends with a great looking house! Thanks to Darcia. My baby is set for at least 9 months. She just gave us 2 car seats! Craig and I have a great support system. We love you all!

Up, we sure do love to move!!! NOT. Craig got a job on at the Sales yard in Emmett and there is a house on it. Craig is working for our rent! We are moving this week. We have spent some time cleaning it. Okay, I mostly watched and Linda, Kim and Craig cleaned. I got fat ankles! It looks 10000000000000 times better than it did. We didn't take before pictures because I don't want anyone to see it. I now will be driving to Boise for work, which sucks. But we will be saving money $$$$$.

Elizabeth Vietta Buhrig was born to Tonia Vietta & Theodore Lynn Buhrig at Holy Rosary Medical Center in Ontario, Oregon, at 2:21 A.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2009. She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and is 19 inches long with dark brown hair. She is an angel.

For those of you have noticed that Tonia's due date is passed and I have not taken off her counter. That is because she has not had her baby yet. Everything is fine, except for the fact that she hasn't had her baby! If do doesn't have it by Feb 10th. They they will induce her. Please keep Tonia and Elizabeth in your prayers!

I had another dr. appointment. Everything is great. My Dr. is so up beat. I love it. The heart beat sounds sooooo good, my blood pressure is great. My blood sugar levels are good. My iron is a little low ( has been my hole life) but not enough to worry about it. Which is great!!!! The baby is moving all over the place. We are getting very excited for Degan to come. Craig and I have been working the last two weekends to clean out the second bedroom so he can have a room!

Every thing is great! I am feeling great, besides the belly that is getting in my way! Time is flying by. I had a dr's appointment yesterday. I now start going every 2 weeks to the dr. I took the sugar test. I can never remember what it is called. I drank a very sugary drink and they took my blood. I should find out by the end of this week if I have gestational diabetes. AKA diabetes during pregnancy. Thats my up date! Thanks for the love and support!

Merry Late Christmas and Happy late New Year!

Christmas was great this year! I got off work at 1:00 on Christmas Eve and we went to my parents house to see my sister Jenny and her family! Craig went and played basketball with some buddies that came in to town. Jenny had a baby in June that I had never seen. He is the cutest thing you ever seen. He is a chunk! With a head full of hair. Her older kids are going fast! I can't believe how big they are. Dessa is in Kindergarten. Christmas Eve night we went to Grandma Rita's house for dinner. It was a small quite gathering. Craig has a great time with his Cousins. Christmas day.... we woke up to Dessa and Krehl. I was planning to sleep in but it didn't quite happen with the little ones. Craig and I had already opened presents and we had to wait for the others to open more. We drove into Craig's parents house to eat breakfast. Craig pretended to hunt, then we drove back to Craig's parents house to open presents. Erin had to work so we waited for her. They bought us shelves that haven't come in yet. Ryan (Craig's brother) and Jamie, his girlfriend were here. She is very talented at knitting. She knitted us a bear for our baby. It is so cute. Then... we went back to my parents house for dinner and presents with my family. There is nothing quite any more about that. Kids running everywhere. They play so well together. It was fun to see them. Tonia and I got cribs and pad sets for them. The boys got tools! and Craig and I got a shelfrelience. It is a really neat shelf thing. I am very excited. Jeri has one and posted it on her blog awhile ago. It will help conserve space and make room for more food storage. Terry called at about 10:00. We talked to him. He sounds like he is doing great. We spent the rest of the weekend at my parents. Saturday night we went to the Stampede game. Craig works at them and he got season tickets. My Parents and Anna came over too. It was fun. Monday I had to work then it was off to McCall for the rest of the week. We played a lot of games, wally ball and swam. Craig went snowboarding with his cousins. He had a good time. I think that he is going to go a couple more times with them this winter. Ten years ago my family made some predictions and wrote some other things. My dad brought it up there and we opened it on New Years Eve. That was fun. I wrote some silly things. It was a nice vacation. Monday morning came fast and I am very tired. To many nights of staying up late and sleeping in. We appreciate all the Christmas cards that we got. It sounds like everyone is doing wonderful. We wish you the best in 2009!

Long time

It's been a couple of weeks so.....

Craig and I already opened our presents from each other. We are bad and can't wait until Christmas. Last year was early too. He came home from shopping and I told him that if he just gave them to me know, he would have to wrap them. This year... he had his mom wrap my present and it was lying of the floor (because I don't have enough energy this year to fight Craig about a Christmas tree) and I guessed what it was. Then he wanted me to open it. It was a Pink 22. I was so excited. I haven't got pictures yet but when I do. It is soooooo cool lookin'. As soon and the ground freezes we are going shooting!!

The baby is doing great. I can feel him move all over the place. During church he likes to kick at my ribs. It doesn't feel good. I haven't thrown up in awhile. But now I have heartburn. If not one thing something else. I am a pro- ugly prego pants. They are wonderful even though they are utterly ugly. No buttons, zippers or any thing else that can get in my way of going to the bathroom, which I do alot! Thanks to everyone that has given me clothes!

The family is doing great! Linda (Craig's mom) has made her Christmas chocolates!! (chocolate gives me heartburn the worst, but I don't care.) Tonia's doctor said that she could have the baby anytime! Holy Cow! Time flies when you are having fun. Jenny and Hal are coming for Christmas so we can see their very cute kids. Darcia's babies are sooo cute and growing like crazy.

Luke (on the left) looks like Darcia. I was over there on Saturday and Cole was smiling and laughing when we were playing. They are family so I have bragging rights! Anna is enjoying her first finals week. When she came home for Thanksgiving she broke her finger. It is the funnest story ever. I die laughing every time I think about it. She is now laughing too so it is okay. Craig is doing finals also. He thinks life is ruff! And we are very excited to here from Terry and Shaun on Christmas.

It's a Boy!!!

We found out on Tuesday that I am having a Boy. Degan Montgomery Savage! He weights 15 oz and his heart beat is 147. He didn't quite cooperate during the ultra sound. I have to go back on Monday and get some more pictures taken of his feet. Feet can tell alot about the health of the baby. The doctor said that he has really long fingers and long toes. That is a Savage Trait. He has a distinct nose. I am not sure where that came from. We are very excited. I don't get to have pink too-toos, or bows. I went shopping Friday morning and found some really cute boy things!

Okay, So I will give it to Jeri. I did like the movie. It was a lot better than I expected. Even though we went at 9:15 pm and I have pee though the most intense part. I was not a Edward lover. But the actor did great. The inside humor was so funny. I think that you would have to read the book to understand it fully. And kudos to all the men that went with you wives. I think that Craig would like it if he could get past the part it is a girl book. I have heard a lot of reviews from people that went and watched it. So here is my review. It was a good tasteful movie. You have to remember that it is a vampire move and they are of the devil. But HOT! There was no swearing, or sexual scenes. The movie was a little different than that book and I think I liked it that way. And Jacob needs to cut his hair! Now I am torn between Movie Edward and my Jacob. Two thumbs up for the movie.

Great Friends

Craig and I are grateful for the friends in our lives. Yesterday it was Jeri and Scott's 3rd anniversary. They invited us to go with them to the temple with them. It was wonderful! Happy Anniversary JERI AND SCOTT. We also ate at Ruby River Steakhouse. I don't recommend it to anyone. Our server did tell us that desert was on him and then he didn't give us any. Rude. You can not get a pregnant woman's hopes up like that and shut them down. It is very hurtful! Also to my Mom. She bought me some Christmas plates. I can't wait to see them!!!

I went to my 3rd appointment. I have gain a 1/2 pound. The babies heart beat is 140. The doctor said that everything is great!!! I go back on the 25th for the ultrasound. Craig and I have talked about names. Nothing is set in stone, but if it is a boy.... Degan Montgomery and if it is a girl.... Addison Marie. We'll just have to see.

For everyone that doesn't know, HALLOWEEN is my favorite holiday. This year, my husband, the grinch that stole Dian's HALLOWEEN wouldn't let me decorate my house. So I had to partake in others decorations. Jeri's house is great. I don't think that you can walk through the door with out being attacked by spiders or their webs. My moms house looks great now! We decorated it last weekend. We also found out that HALLOWEEN decorations are not kid proof. She has some blocks that spell out BOO. I think that at one time or another Darcia's boys all threw and got them thrown at their heads! Another good house is Billy Short's house ( Jeri's mom). It looks great! Ghosts, witchs and pumpkins all over. Here is a picture from last year at our work HALLOWEEN party. I was a Cowboy! I used all of Craig's stuff. Just to let you know I wore his pants! Other great things about this time of year is..... ooww pumpkin icecream, pie and anything elese pumpkin. I love it!!! The colors of outside. They are so pretty. There were some kids in our year yesterday playing in our leaves. I think that we are the only one's that haven't raked up our leaves. And there are tons of them. Craig said that the kids were only raking them to jump in them. Hello duh!!! Thats the best part! The reds, oranges and yellows are beautiful! OH ya another great thing is...... MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I am going to be 23 tomorrow. I can't believe it. I swear it was just last year that I cried over turning 19. Now I am 23. I am growing up! And we are eating pizza!!!!! It is not Pizza Hut, Darcia is making homemade!! She wont take her 5 boys out to dinner. I think that when I am 50 I will still want pizza for my birthday dinner. It's the best!! This is the most wonderful time of the year!!!!

2nd appointment

I had my second baby appointment on Monday. Everything is going great! I lost 5 pounds from the last appointment. My doctor really didn’t like that. We heard the heart beat. It was 160. The baby was moving all over the place. It wasn’t very long. I did schedule my next appointment and my 2nd ultrasound for November 25th. We will hopefully know what it is before Thanksgiving!

Tonia is a little sneak! She has been pregnant for 5 months and not told any body. Everybody thought that it would be that way. My mother had us all worried that there were some problems and in the end she was just pregnant. I am excited for them. She is having a girl. Her name is Elizabeth Vietta Buhrig. She is due in February. So with in a year all of us sisters that could and should have a baby will have. This is a pretty exciting time for my parents. There family is growing!!

What a rainy weekend!

It all started Friday night, Craig was on the chain gang at the Emmett Football game. So me and Erin went to the game. I did get a little wet and the wind was blowing too. It was Erin’s birthday so after the game we went to La Costa for dinner. It was a late dinner! I just ate the chips and salsa. And I didn’t throw it up! Ya!!!!
Saturday!!!
My first year doing the women’s fitness walk was one to remember. I had convinced my Mother-in-law to do it with me. So Saturday morning at 7:00 we left for Boise. We could see lightening and it poured on us on the way over. But went on, that was our first mistake! When we parked, Jeri called me to see where we were. She told me it was barely sprinkling at the start line. That was huge lie. When we got there, she and every one else was soaking wet. I walked up hill for 3.1 miles very wet. I got really cold on the way home. I took a hot shower and wanted to sleep. Craig and Scott planned a BSU football party. Instead of watching the game or sleeping through it, I went to Nampa shopping with Jeri. I forgot how much fun shopping with Jeri is. She can’t make up her mind on anything!!!! At 7:00 we had our WII Party!! I made it til about 9:30. Then I crashed on Jeri’s couch. But before I did, I rocked out to dance revaluation and won the first round of the bowling game!!!! I slept as long as I could on Sunday. Went to Church with my parents and at dinner at Craig’s parents house. Then we went to Rita’s house for Cheese cake for Erin’s birthday!! It was good!

Cat out of the Bag!

I think that the cat is out of the bag. So now is as good as time and any to announce that Craig and I are going to have baby! We are very excited. I am 10 weeks along. On Monday we went to the doctor and everything is great. She told Craig that I am perfect. I told him not to forget it, but I think that he already did. I have been nauseated all day long and can’t wait for that to go away. On Tuesday we had an ultra sound and not the kind that Jeri said that I was going to have. I think she says things just to make me nervous. It was a normal ultra sound. We saw the baby. Or what is supposed to be the baby. We got to here the heart beat. It was so exciting for me I couldn’t hold it in any more! April 10th is my due date! I am hopping for a girl. There are so many boys in the family, it is time for a girl. And Dessa needs a girl cousin. Craig wants a boy, probably just because he is a boy. I will let you know as soon as something happens.

I know that I am not that busy at work, but beyond work I am. Craig started school a week ago from Monday. He is driving all over the place. To class, fixing someone’s garage door, back to class and home. We have been going to Emmett every weekend to help there. My Mom and I have been canning like crazy. In the past two weekends we have bottle soup, salsa, tomato juice, sweet and sour sauce and enchilada sauce. Give or take 175 pint jars and 30 quarts. My Mom has done 50 or more quarts of salsa for Darcia. We aren’t done yet. Since Darcia just had her babies and doesn’t have time to can her self we are trying to do all she needs too. Last year Rachel Brown/ Swansen gave my Mom some home made enchilada sauce and she love it. When she called for recipe Rachel said well this is the main ingredients but we just added until liked it. So we tried and I think that it turned out good. My Mom’s garden was good this year, except for the peppers. Who knows what happened to them. And she would have pumpkins if she didn’t kill them with spray. I planted them twice too. She has lots of watermelon and cantaloupe. They taste great! Life is great!

Harvest Time

Tomatoes are on! This past weekend I made 28 pints of salsa and 31 pints of tomato soup. Yummmmm! My food storage is building. We have a lot more to do. Next week we are making Sweet and Sour sauce. It is so good. I can’t wait I am all out. Peaches will be on September 5th and I think that my Mom’s apples are ripening to make apple pie filling. It’s the best! Tis the season for Harvest.

Darcia had her babies!

Darcia had her babies Saturday morning. They are the cutest things. Luke Allen was 6 lb 11 oz, and Cole Lewis was 5 lb 1 oz. I think that is how the spelling is but I am not sure. Darcia came home from the hospital yesterday. She is really tired. Poor girl. The babies hopefully will come home early next week. I am holding Cole. They have dark hair. Maybe they will look more like Mom than the rest of them.

As for the Book, I finished! That lady has a wild imagination. I don't want to ruin it for others who haven't read it.

Life in a City

I know that I have lived most of my life in Emmett, and not just in Emmett, but out side of it, in the middle of no where. Where it was peacefull and quite. In Pocatello, we lived by the railroad tracks. And every night we would here the cars smashing together. And when the train would move our whole house would shake. This is worse. We are right next to the freeway. All night long, all day long cars, cars and more cars. We have to have our windows open so we don't roast. Just like the trains I am sure that we will get used to it. But man it sucks. We are saving a lot on gas. I ride my bike to work everyday. It's not too bad. My work is really close. My butt hurts. I thought that I had enough padding down there, but I don't. My house is still a mess. Boxes every where. We are working on it. A little at a time!

We're Moving

We have found a place in Boise to move to. We are moving this weekend. I know it is fast but oh well. It is a really nice town house, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Just like Jeri said it is a bitter sweet thing. We are finally moving out of my parents house, I don't have drive over the hill anymore. It is so close that I don't even have to drive. But our friends and family are in Emmett. We will miss you even though we are only in Boise. Craig can't play basketball every other day anymore. Dang it. Just silly things like that! Craig is still going to work for my dad on the weekends, so we will be in Emmett a lot!

To all Friends and Family, I am greatful for you love and support. And once again we need to band together and pray for Darcia my sister. She went into the hospital on Monday because she was have contractions. As of today she is still there. With out the iv drip her body has contractions. The babies need to wait 3 more weeks before they come into this world. I am just asking you to rememeber her in your thought and prayers. Thanks!

My new hobbie!

About 3 weeks ago, Craig and I went up to Cascade and got 3 old dressers from my cousin's other grandma's house. Here are the before pictures. We just finished refinishing them. It was lots of hard work. The big tall one we just washed and painted black. The mirror on that one was locked when we got it. My dad popped it open. It takes a old key to open it. We have tried like 4 or 5 keys and non of them work. The other two we stripped the varnish and stain and restained them a mix of mahogany and cherry. I really wanted it mahogany. My mom had a little mahogany, but not enough to do it all, and some cherry. So we mixed it and made our own color. The stripper stuff we used, I highly recommend it. It was called "Stripper" Ace brand. It did wonders! We used mineral spirits to wash them after the stripper stuff. It was lots of fun to do it. I really wanted a new bedroom set, so now I do, almost. Next I am looking for a head board and foot board that I can refinish to match! I will post the finished pictures soon.

Friday after work Craig and I went with Jeri and Scott and Bransen and Alisa and Jeremy up the Scott's family cabin. It is a really nice cabin up by cascade lake. They have lake front access walking distance from the cabin. We left around 6, (we were a little late because of Craig) and got up there a little after 8. Bransen got car sick on the ride up so we had to stop at the Cougar Mountain Lodge. I was glad to stop. I was getting a little car sick too. Jeremy and Alisa were about a half hour behind us. That night we just talked and played games. Alisa gets a little loopy when she gets tired. Saturday night we ate breakfast and was out on the lake about 10:30. We first went on a little boat ride to see Tamarack and it's beach front. There weren't many boats out. We spent the next 4 hours wakeboarding, skiing, and tubing. It was lots of fun. I tried to get Jeri to tube but she wouldn't. Scott said that his baby would come out with a stutter. Jeremy and Alisa left about 2. Craig and I battled it out on the tubes. I think the tubes won. At about 3 we loaded the boat and headed back to the cabin. We got cleaned up and went to Ice cream Alley in McCall. I got Lemon Pie Shake. It was so big, but sooo good. Saturday night Craig and Scott made us a camp fire like real boy scouts! We roasted Nathan's hot dogs and brots and marshmellows for smores. Mmmm! Sunday morning I woke up unable to move. I was so sore, from working muscles that I wasn't sure that I had and from being sun burnt. I think we all got sun burns. Jeri got it the worst. But we all got it pretty good! It was a great little weekend get a way. We had a great time. Brandsen was such a good baby the whole time. He is a talked just like his mommy!

Twilight

This blogging this is kinda fun. I get to think of all the things that I have done and share them with you. Today I am going to talk about books. And especially the “Twilight” series. I have read the first 3 books and have pre-ordered the 4th book. I am a Jacob lover! Reading the 3rd book made like Edward a little more. But for a long time I didn’t like him at all. He was all wrong for her. Jacob, now he is the one. In my mind he is just gorgeous. The looks, the muscles, and the fun, he has it all. She can also have a life with him. Have children, be with her parents ect. I can’t wait to read the 4th one to see which one she goes with. At this point I want her to go with Jacob, but I won’t die if she goes with Edward.

Because of Jeri Gurney, I have started my blog. She loves it and thinks that I will love it as well. My life is good, but not that exciting. So if I talk about my family and friends it’s because I live vicariously through them. Craig and I live with my parents and we are trying to find a place to live in Boise. Southwestern part of Boise is where we are looking. Craig has is own business, fixing garage doors. He really does like it. Keeps him busy and bring in some money while he is going to school. Summer has gone by so fast. School starts in a month. We just came back from visiting Craig’s grandparents in Priest River Idaho. It’s way up north! We had a great time. Most of his Aunts and Uncles were there. I still haven’t met all of his cousins. They live right on the river. It is a beautiful spot to live, but lots of mosquitoes, Nasty little buggers. We drove up on Hwy 95, lots of green rolling hills and fields. We came home on the freeway, where there is nothing to look at, nothing but desert. It was nice to have a break from work. I was able to sleep in for 4 days in a row. I work at the Farm Bureau Insurance Company Claims office in Boise. When we moved back to Boise, I transferred offices and jobs. I originally started at Farm Bureau in May 2006 in the Finance Office. Now 2 years later I am in Boise in the Claims department. It is a great company to work for, great benefits. Our life couldn’t be better right now!
